Professor Jacobs’ presentation will be based on his extensive experience in organizations and his recent publications. In 2017, Professor Jacobs published an article in a scholarly journal entitled, “Knowledge Work and Human Resource Development”, which has received much acclaim among scholars and practitioners alike. Many know of Professor Jacobs’ work with Structured on-the-Job Training (S-OJT), which has become one of the most frequently used training approaches used in organizations. Now, Professor Jacobs is using many of those experiences to help HR and HRD professionals respond to dramatic changes in the workplace. Professor Jacobs has recently been working on these topics with organizations in the U.S., South Korea, Malaysia, and China.
